connot access \\server\folder contact you administrator for permissions.
I recently upgraded my computer from windows XP SP3 to Windows 7 Ultimate. I connect to my WHS 2003 to access all my files. Since i have upgraded I have not been able to access any shared folders, but i can use remote desktop, but not to get into a shared folder, just for admin purposes. I have two other windows 7 computers working fine and accesssing shared files. I have allowed for file and printer sharing. I have successfully installed WHS connector software, but i still can not get access, it tells me I need administrator permissions. I am the administrator of the network. I have made all the passwords credentials the same and used the computer name for each computer for login to the network. I did notice that my router started acting funny at the same time, it would not allow me to log on to the network, even with the correct password. Is there a port i have to open up for the router to share? I have already opened ports 443,80, and 4125. Thanks for any help in advance GDips

Please change the default NTLM authentication level in Windows 7. To do so, open gpedit.msc from Start Search box. Then locate to the following policy. Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options\Network security: LAN Manager authentication level Please change “Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated”.Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
